BASS

Bass are good on all main lake points. Black bass are excellent now; anglers have been catching them using worms on the bottom, swimbaits and topwater lures.

Hook, Line and Sinker says Black Bass are biting plastic worms fished along steep banks and points five to 20 feet deep.

BLUEGILL

CATFISH

Catfish are good on chicken liver, live/large minnows or big worms. Try for catfish with liver, nightcrawlers or stink bait.

CRAPPIE

Stroll crank baits in creek arms and along points fro Crappie. You can troll or fish brushtops in 20 feet to 30 feet with jigs. Good on minnows or jigs

STRIPER

Stripers are good, with fish scattered from Prairie Creek down to the dam. They are moving every day, so you have to move also and check areas and move if nothing is there. Biting top-water lures at first light in the Rocky Branch area. Use brood minnows later in the day.

WALLEYE

Walleye are best in the mid-lake area with some decent results on cloudy days. You still have to work through shorts, which seems to be the case all year. Anglers report catching an occasional Walleye while bass fishing. Walleye are biting in the evening on crank baits and minnows.
